JAWS: 35th year anniversary

 Story by:

yay!!!!!!  THis movie was the first highest grossing film for almost 2 years, in the Box Office, until Star Wars came along, and maintained the top spot until Jurassic Park in 1993.
Jaws, cause mass panic to a once fanatical beach going nation, in fact, many people were afraid to even get close to the water.  In fact, Spielberg and company, almost didn't make the movie, as there were constant problems with the shark.....but it wasn't until Carl Gottlieb (Writer), that had the idea of, showing less of the shark, but more intensity and camera views and angles.....did it work?  I think it obviously did.  Only 1 of the original three main stars still lives.....Richard Dreyfuss.  Roy Scheider (Chief Brody), passed away in 2008, and Robert Shaw (Quint) died in 1978.  This movie is still highly regarded and remembered, mainly because of the music that accompanied the terrifying movie.  In fact, Jaws was nominated for an Oscar.
Happy Anniversary to Summer's first blockbuster.
