Tron: Legacy......pretty good actually

Story by:  Léon DeGrelle

The movie itself, really surprised me.  It had a pretty good storyline, with strong acting from Jeff Bridges, as he undertakes a dual role as both CLU, and Kevin Flynn.  Bot only was the acting good, but his old school 80's vernacular, really brought me back in time, to one of the best decades in any history.  Kevin was sucked into the Grid, 20 years before, and wasn't heard from since.  There were many speculations on his disappearance, but the reality, CLU, in its programming betrayed Flyn, and took control of the Grid by making it, seemingly perfect, according to CLU's programming, by getting rid of any imperfections.....Isaac Isomov and Frank Herbert have written novels, of what happens if computers take over, and try to make the world perfect.  CLU eventually turned on both TRON and Flynn, and transformed the freed Grid, inot a totalitarian style dictatorship, by gethering all programs and transforming them into soldiers for a "real world" invasion, and all possible, if CLU had a hold of Flynn's disc.
Jump forward 21 years, Sam Flynn (Kevin's son played by Garret Hedlund) gets sucked into the grid, though it was intended for Alan Bradley ( reprised by Bruce Boxleitner) when he was "paged".....yes, paged, by Kevin into the Grid.  Sam, opened up the gateway into the GRID, where he was eventually captured and used for the games, as in the first Tron.  There he meets CLU in the guise of his father, unaged after 20 years and eventually forced in the games, until rescued by Quorra (Olivia Wilde) and taken to his father.  The trio eventually play the inevitable, hide and seek game while trying to end CLU's takeover of the Grid.  In which, the great odds, with even greater numbers of opponents are to be defeated, by, User ingenuity and intelligence.  This movie, I consider better than that of the original, due to some shockingly similar aspects of WW2 realism in CLU's eventual takeover of the Grid, and the genocide of the ISO's (Isomomorphic Algorithms, who bear a similar resemblance to anyone not within German aspects).  A group of programs that were not to CLU's liking.  They contained, individual thought processes and ideas, that, to CLU, would have made the world he was programmed to make perfect, imperfect.
The reason for Flynn's creation of CLU......was to eventually bring his own son, to see the computer grid world and its perfection.  In Kevin's own arrogance, he made a program that eventually trapped him in the grid, and turned TRON, into a mindless champion slave, working for CLU, though his face is not seen ever.  In exile for year, Kevin retreats to the off world and lives there, waiting out his time.  In all, I give this an 8.  The action was pretty good, the martial arts sequences excellent, and the new face of the ol games were wonderfully animated.  In all, the FX in this, and the storyline, blow the first Tron, out of the water.
