Story by: Léon DeGrelle
The movie itself, really surprised me. It had a pretty good storyline, with strong acting from Jeff Bridges, as he undertakes a dual role as both CLU, and Kevin Flynn. Bot only was the acting good, but his old school 80's vernacular, really brought me back in time, to one of the best decades in any history. Kevin was sucked into the Grid, 20 years before, and wasn't heard from since. There were many speculations on his disappearance, but the reality, CLU, in its programming betrayed Flyn, and took control of the Grid by making it, seemingly perfect, according to CLU's programming, by getting rid of any imperfections.....Isaac Isomov and Frank Herbert have written novels, of what happens if computers take over, and try to make the world perfect. CLU eventually turned on both TRON and Flynn, and transformed the freed Grid, inot a totalitarian style dictatorship, by gethering all programs and transforming them into soldiers for a "real world" invasion, and all possible, if CLU had a hold of Flynn's disc.
Jump forward 21 years, Sam Flynn (Kevin's son played by Garret Hedlund) gets sucked into the grid, though it was intended for Alan Bradley ( reprised by Bruce Boxleitner) when he was "paged".....yes, paged, by Kevin into the Grid. Sam, opened up the gateway into the GRID, where he was eventually captured and used for the games, as in the first Tron. There he meets CLU in the guise of his father, unaged after 20 years and eventually forced in the games, until rescued by Quorra (Olivia Wilde) and taken to his father. The trio eventually play the inevitable, hide and seek game while trying to end CLU's takeover of the Grid. In which, the great odds, with even greater numbers of opponents are to be defeated, by, User ingenuity and intelligence. This movie, I consider better than that of the original, due to some shockingly similar aspects of WW2 realism in CLU's eventual takeover of the Grid, and the genocide of the ISO's (Isomomorphic Algorithms, who bear a similar resemblance to anyone not within German aspects). A group of programs that were not to CLU's liking. They contained, individual thought processes and ideas, that, to CLU, would have made the world he was programmed to make perfect, imperfect.
The reason for Flynn's creation of CLU......was to eventually bring his own son, to see the computer grid world and its perfection. In Kevin's own arrogance, he made a program that eventually trapped him in the grid, and turned TRON, into a mindless champion slave, working for CLU, though his face is not seen ever. In exile for year, Kevin retreats to the off world and lives there, waiting out his time. In all, I give this an 8. The action was pretty good, the martial arts sequences excellent, and the new face of the ol games were wonderfully animated. In all, the FX in this, and the storyline, blow the first Tron, out of the water.

Harrison Ford: IJ 5 will be the last one
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Source
According to the famous actor. Ford, was thinking of a way to have Indiana Jones die, but with dignity......meaning Shia LeBoeuf will and may be brought back, to have Indy's hat and whip passed on to his closest kin, his own son. Despite Shia's disagreement with the franchise in his only appearance in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. George Lucas isn't too fond of the idea, but Spielberg is left to think about. But in the long run, it won't be Harrison's final decision, despite he's the star and a valuable commodity, but it will end up in the hands of both Lucas and Spielberg. But, Ford does have a say if he will star or not. If Ford, disagrees, he can opt out, and no movie will be made.

The military has done away with the gay ban
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Source
The military has done away with the gay ban on the military. Before 1993, the recruiters were obliged to ask "Are you gay?" when signing new recruits in. For a detailed example of how things were done in the 80's and before....the movie "Stripes" was a perfect example. A movie starring Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. Then in '93, then-president Bill Clinton, signed the "Dont' ask, don't tell" policy, forbidding any sexual preference questions, by not only the recruiters, but by the service members chain of command, once they were in. The only way to get booted out of the military for being gay/lesbian, was to get caught in the act..... whether by kissing, or caught having sexual intercourse. But even then, some of the upper echelon of the top brass (officers), would even look the other way, if the service member being discharged, was a good soldier. But it was by service alone, that most, that were caught, were given the Chapter 13 Discharge under the UCMJ (Uniformed Code of Military Justice). And were given the OTH (Other than Honorable) discharge and barring them from ever rejoining their respective service or other services.

Don't expect something from TRON
Story By: Léon DeGrelle
Source
TRON opened to a $3.5 million dollar opening midnight showing earlier today. Experts say, that the movie will make anywhere between 45-50 million dollars over the weekend. Disney expects this movie to overshadow and over perform from the expected stats, since they already shelled out a serious amount of money, not only in the production of TRON: Legacy, but also in the promotion.....which includes two years in a row during the San Diego Comic Con. Who knows what really will happen, but this, being the final week for Christmas shopping, I doubt that parents, will take their kids and shell out $80 or more dollars, when they can spend their money on last minute gifts for friends and family.

Despite having decent numbers, and a first season that was spread over 6 months and having season 2, again, shortened from 13 to 10 episodes......there will be more surprises lined up for New Years. The Red Sky was left off as a serious cliffhanger, tahat has fans, like myself and other millions, waiting and wanting more....to find out what the hell it means, and what it really means for mankind. It only happened right after Anna's soldier eggs were destroyed by Erica, and Anna's thunderous primal scream of anger, and actually showing sort sort of emotion for the first time. This will indeed, be good. Since we've been waiting for nearly 8 months for this show to get on the road.

Dawn Treader flops.....in the US market
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
But at least made over 100 million in the foreign markets. This is what happens, when your typical, uneducated people, don't bother to look beyond just one book, whose fame, was astronomical. But, anything after "The Lion, The Witch, and Wardrobe" and the typical person has no notion, nor a clue, that it was written by the same author, CS Lewis. This really is a disappointment, in the fan show up, or lack there of. The books are great, this movie surpassed Prince Caspian, and it had your adventure, your fun, and excitement all rolled into one. It made up with good acting, and excellent FX.....despite the much smaller budget. What is sad, is that movies with hardly a plot, a bimbo, and/or robots, use recycled/stolen ideas from past series/movies/ideas, make a giant cluster fuck of them, and people all of a sudden are interested. Seems, that anything too complex, nowadays, that require a little thought process, is too complicated for anyone to understand. Amidst this sort of social chaos and degradation, there are a few fans willing to support a well made movie.
If any Hollywood agent, producer or director, by the most minuscule of chance reads this....word of advice: Simple minds, simple pleasures. If it's too complex, they won't understand.

For anyone traveling to Tijuana or Mexico...........
Story by: Sancho
Don't, December 12th marks the anniversary of when La Virgen de Guadalupe first manifested herself to Juán Diego in 1531. And what does that mean exactly??? Traffic Jams, way too busy streets, and pilgrimages from other Mexicans from the rest of the interior appearing in the city's main cathedral. Especially, in Tijuana, the city was made to hold a certain amount of people, but yet, that total numbers has more than doubled its capacity, and yet, more and more individuals come. Are they welcome???? not by the real natives that have been established there before the turn of the 20th century. That's for sure. My suggestions to the unknowing traveler, stay home. The streets are going to be extremely busy, and crazy with the celebrations and the food sales, the carnivals......and all other crazy stuff that will happen. Sure, it may be fun for some, but the city in which I live, is overrun, by unwelcomed guests. Stay home and enjoy the weekend in the good old USA. Cinco de Mayo isn't shit, in comparison to this mini holiday. So just a bit or warning for any potential readers here.

Narnia underperforms.......$8 Million on Friday
Story by: Léon Degrelle
Unfortunately, as early as this may be from the final Box Office total, 8 million dollars for something like this, can be construed as a failure.....a BOMB!!! 20th Century Fox, has always depended on the word of mouth method, more-so than the excessive propaganda and expositions of other companies. But it seems that people, figured that with the failure of Prince Caspian, that this movie is just added filler and even less of a movie than Caspian was. Nothing can be further from the truth. Voyage of the Dawn Treader, was action packed, and actually considered better than Caspian was, even with all that huge budget, that Disney shelled out. But the unfortunate effect, is that Sheeple (sheep and people mixed together)go with the flow of what's supposed to be cool and popular, and not take their children and themselves, over to see a well made movie. Only of a few well made movies this year. Just because something is not as advertised like others, doesn't make it much less, in fact, it's those little surprised that get you, and get you back for more. I will give a few examples of movies that looked like bombs, but were major hits: Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Planet of the Apes....to name a few. After dismal opening weeks, their later weeks, proved they were winners.

as Legolas. Even though Legolas isn't in the Hobbit, Peter Jackson figured........Why the hell not??? But, all is not well with the JRR Tolkien fans. Galadriel, is only mentioned in "The Hobbit" and Legolas is first mentioned in "The Lord of the Rings". But that's always the case with book purists, disagreeing with film adaptations. As for myself, I fall either way. AS long as it makes the film more interesting, and it makes money, the changes don't matter. Dune is another example, a book that was changed in many ways and were many omissions as well, but the 1984 movie, was still made well.....at least in my opinion. The filming is set for February; the first part of "The Hobbit" will be released on December of 2011, with the second part, the following year. With this being said, I can freely say, Opinions are like assholes........everyone has one, and everyones is different.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader opens this Friday
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
As we all know......20th Century Fox has taken the reigns for this movie since February of 2009. And this coming week, will either make this movie a success or an epic failure. Thus far, the reviews have been pretty much positive. So It's believed that this movie will definitely be #1 in this coming week for the Box Office. Let's hope and pray, that this isn't the end of the road for this movie, as this could be, another franchise in the making. Rumor has it, that this is the end of the road for this series, and that there wouldn't be anymore, despite the movie, mentioning possible spoiler for the next movie, in case there is a next time. Hopefully, this will become a huge success, since the monetary budget was less than the Disney/Walden Media backed companies shelled out for Prince Caspian. Despite my doubts, I do believe that there will be another next time, minus the last two Pevensie children, but will continue on with their cousin,Eustace. We can all hope for the best in this.

Perhaps, this is the start of a new franchise to start of the new decade???? But the information that was given to Liam, is kept under wraps, as no info was said by the famous actor. But what was told, is a whole revamping of the series.

Why Prisoner of Azkaban is still the best
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
To be quite frank here, it was the scenery, and the fact that Alfonso Cuarón, made it gritty in some scenes....following the actors in a shaky camera action. Movie direction like that, literally puts someone in to the movie itself. Whan I first saw it back in 2004 when it opened, I was quite dizzy, but I liked it, because it was as if one was in it. This movie, further expanded the wizard world, way beyond Hogwarts or even Diagon Alley. it introduced us to other creatures, such as the wonderful display of cinematography seen, when Harry Potter rode the hippogriph, Buckbeak, even the rippling effects of Buckbeaks claw slashing through the water in an amazing scene of the Care of Magical Creatures class conducted by Hagrid. Also, the kids, were mostly seen out of their Hogwarts clothes, to more muggle clothing, as breaking apart from the set standard and confines of just being students.....this movie expressed a better sense of freedom from the shackles of monotony. This movie, alos foreshadowed some of the events that were to be in the last two books, even giving the author, JK Rowling, goosebumps just by watching it. This was of course, the beginning of the darker phases of HP, including Potter being a much better wizard, after casting his first Patronus Charm, to do away against the Dementors. To be honest, the Dementors never looked btter in any other film, but this one. PoA, gave them life, not the fake CGI looking ones from the later movies.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader......review
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
As we all know, Disney bailed out on the Narnia series since late 2008. .......due to, Prince Caspian under-performing, between two other heavy hitting giants, Iron Man and Indiana Jones in May of 2008. So the idiots decided to bail on the third installment. So, the series was left hanging, until 20th Century Fox, picked it up early 2009 and decided to film it. So to my surprise, the movie itself, was action packed, and there were an extremely amount of slow parts throughout this film. Though I did notice some changes, from the book......a few elements of CS Lewis' Silver Chair were added to make this movie a little more enticing, since the book is generally quite a bit slower. Now, in this movie, we only see 3 familiar human faces in Lucy and Edmund Pevensie and now, King Caspian (played by Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, and Ben Barnes respectively). Caspian has dropped the accent, since producers figures, CS Lewis was British, why not retain the actor's own accent instead of trying to sound too Ibero/Italian sounding.

Good news for "The Hobbit" cast....Cate Blanchett joins
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Source
Besides nothing but financial woes, union threats, losing a great director, possibly moving to Europe......there is a little silver lining to this huge and nasty storm. Academy Award winning actress, Cate Blanchett, reprises her role as the ancient Elvish Queen, Galadriel, in this prequel. Cate, will once again, travel back in time to Middle Earth some 60 years before the events of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This movies will be based off the JRR Tolkien classic "The Hobbit" and preoduced/directed by the über-famous, Peter Jackson, whose original LOTR trilogy from 2001-2003, has placed his name on the map, as a prolific director along with the names of George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese to name a few. Sorry folks, I don't mention pedophiles on my blog that are on the run and exiled away from the USA. And I will not mention on who it is *cough* Roman *cough* Polanski *cough*.......sorry about that folks.
But at least this is great news, among the crap that has already flourished.

The Walking Dead is a hit................
Story by: Léon DeGrelle

With just over 6 million viewers that turned up for the last episode: TS-19. It had a higher rating thatn even last weeks episode with 5.8 million viewers. The Walking Dead, has become basic cables most watched drama, averaging 3.5 million viewers in the all powerful 18-49 age frame, in cable history. Yet, other shows with less numbers, and less viewers get extended episodes, and longer seasons. That does not compute to me. Let's hope this gets more and more viewers in the future.

For those interested in joining the military
Story by Léon DeGrelle.
I will be writing up an e-book on what to expect from the military......basically a survival guide from a person that's already been through hell and back. It's just to make you a bit smarter on what to expect, so as there isn't much of a shock when you get to basic training. I will try to convince a few others still in and retired into co-writing something with me, for reference use only of course. This is just a small manual to make the recruit, savvy and smarter. I will also include links and ways to train before shipping out to basic training.

This is about the best news for any movie as I've ever seen. I personally don't care about this movie, whatsoever. Despite the heavy promotion on TV, the promotions in San Diego Comic Con, 2 years in a row, and the propaganda associated with it. This is a Disney movie, and one of few that I really would love to see fail, due to the release date next to another anticipated movie from my part, Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Since Disney dropped the series about 2 years ago, due to the lackluster performance of Prince Caspian. It wasn't so much that it was a crappy movie, or was it bad, just the release date was bad, since PC headed against Iron Man and Indiana Jones.....you can't expect facing a movie against 2 juggernauts like that. It's plain stupid releasing a movie around bigger movies like that.
According to the sources mentioned, there was a survey taken on how popular this might be, and needless to say, the response, was less than ok, in fact, it was crappy to say the least. The movie is expected to make at least 35 million, far less than the 50+ million that hoped for. Already, the expenditures for are over 200 million, and Disney was and is, hoping to make this a franchise. But as it turns out, the Magic touch is not on this movie. I hope it fails myself. Serves Disney right to get rid of a good family series, for something that didn't produce back in 1982. Bottom line......if the movie barely made its money back, don't expect to revive the cult-followed movie to be a gold mine.

Middle Earth hits another snag

....and this time, with the allegations of racism. First we had MGM with financial woes, Then we had the great Guillermo del Toro quit, then the damn unions getting involved, then moving the locale due to the union unrest, and now this bullshit. And it all started with a Pakistani woman, bitching about racism, because the casting director, allegedly wanted "non dark skinned" actors to be hobbits. And for those that aren't familiar with JRR Tolkiens books or Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" series, then there's your answer. I won't go into further detail, but this is another damn snag into the progress of this film. And as fans figure "When is this damn movie going to be made?" That's a question that even I ask my self. SO what's the next snag? One of the main actors getting a DUI? Sir Ian McKellen (God forbid) falling ill?

The Walking Dead....Biggest rating Nov 28, 2010
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
The series received 5.6 million viewers as reported from The AMC channels reports. It's up from the "Vatos" episode last week which received 4.8 million viewers. Like all that is good, things come to an end. On December 5, the first season will end, and like all that it's good, it's always cut short. But not to fret fans, more are on the way. 13 new episodes are on the way for next year. The ratings this past week, were slightly higher from the 5.3 million at it's debut. And this series, has become AMC's highest rated show.......EVER!

Deathly Hallows Review
Review by: Léon DeGrelle
LD: First off I would like to say, this is nothing more than the "Calm before the Storm" and that this movie is just a preheating of the oven before putting in the main course. Few bits of action, a tad of comedy, alot of running, alot of growing up, a new way of learning about the reality of the wizard world, and Voldermort's further rise to power. There's no more than 15 minutes of action, but there's a lot of growing up to do in a very short amount of time. The reality of Horcruxes are more truer in this movie than ever before. This is just the trio's quest to find and destroy Horcuxes, and learning to destroy them, since they are difficult to destroy.
This movie will and is considered boring by the normal mentality of an action buff, so this movie is not for them, but this is just a warm up, the real action will commence, next July 2011. Deathly Hallows part 2, will be 10 years in the making and these 2 movies are what culminates into one epic battle against Voldemort and his DeathEaters, it will also mark the end of an era of the most successful series of all time as well. The action, though minimal, I really don't care aboout, though 2 deaths occur, Mad Eye is dead as well as Harry's pet, Hedwig. Voldermort, finally takes over the ministry using his puppets as heads and killing off, Rufus Scrimgeour. Dolores Umbridge, the bitch on wheels, makes a return but is easily taken care off by Potter.
All I can say, there's a lot of running and travelling, but maturity sets in the trio, as this "Road Trip" of sorts, grow up in the following months that eventually end in getting trapped by the Snatchers (Bounty Hunters under the current ministry to catch runaway wizards not willing to register) and sent to Malfoy Manor. But what got me in this movie, was Emma Watson's true ability to act shine in this movie. Long ago, was her runaway eyebrows, to finally end her acting perfectly blended during her torture scene by Bellatrix and bone chilling screams of pain. The trio, with a captured Luna and Ollivander end up escaping the clutches of the Death Eaters, with the help of a long lost friend, in Dobby, who's been absent since the Chamber of Secrets back in 2002. But his welcomed return ends in tragedy.
The cinematography is more superb, and equally as enchanting as Prisoner of Azkaban, since Alfonso Cuaron's formula of adding scenery, cinematography, art direction, and liveliness has been well emulated in this film, from the 2004 formula. Well done, and well acted form all parties involved.

Total Recal remake....with Colin Ferrell
Story by: Sancho
Source
Total Recall is going to be remade as closely to the original short story as possible to Phillip K. Dick's version. As it was altered greatly, to fit the hulking Governator's wishes and desires. Well, the project is still in the works, with writing staff working and all the good stuff, only thing to report.....is that the remake has already been thought of, and the primary role already given to Colin Ferrell. Not my particualr choice for any movie role if you ask me, but at least Sam Worthington is not up for this movie.

Unrepenting Foreign Invaders
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
The thing that really gets me, as these foreign invaders that come into their host nations, only to stir and cause problems. They fail to adapt to local customs or even fail to learn to speak the language after countless years in their new nation. I'm not talking about the illegal, and undocumented individuals form south of the border, but Islamic Jihadist, entering other sovereign nations, that are literally light years ahead in development, only to start their shit and start to disrespect customs of their host nation. Take for example this pic:
This is just a scene from a few days ago, in Britain, during a scheduled, 2 minutes of silence during Britain's, Armistice Day, when they started their rants of hate speech. Last as I recall, Britain was for Britons, and those that wish to adhere to Anglo-Saxon customs and traditions, not to spit upon the remembrance of soldiers that died to keep the freedoms of speech, that these assholes don't have back home, yet abuse it when they're in areas not native to them. I find it appalling, if individuals like these are allowed to enter other sovereign nations under false pretenses. An immediate expulsion should be sought and mediated, because these so-called peaceful demonstrations, may not be so peaceful when one or many decide to bombard civilian populated areas and kill innocent bystanders, for their "jihad".
They leave their homeland's to spread their false religion of peace, with ulterior motives to destroy Western civilization. Shame on our governments, by allowing such behavior on unwanted guests.

Sonny with a Chance changes
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
With Demi being shelved in the meantime, Disney execs have figures a contingency plan to still make production of Sonny with A Chance, beginning in January of 2011, for its 3rd season. They figured, in case that Demi is still out of action, due to "physical and emotional" problems, that the rest of the cast of the show, will get a chance to shine. The show within the shoe "So Random!" as it's cast, will have to make due without the main star's presence if Demi's not able to return. But that's only if Demi returns that is. Past shows really can't live without the main star leading the way, and end up being canceled or placed in permanent hiatus. Only time will tell.

It is with a heavy heart that I type this post. One of the most prolific and iconic movie producers has passed away. Dino Di Laurentiis was 91. He wasn't your typical producer that put movies just for the hell of it or to make a quick buck, like today's producers, he was a visionary and an artist.....and for it he'll be missed. He is also the man who
Arnold Schwarzenegger on the map with "Conan the Barbarian" among his most famous movies: Barbarella, Orca, King Kong, Serpico, Death Wish, Dune, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising. He is survived by his widow, Martha, and 6 daughters. His only son, Federico, died in a plane crash in 1981.

And there are dozens more where that came from as well. From legit sources, to gossip columns, to shady news publications, such as the Examiner. When there are multiple reports of abuse, there's always some truth to it, just read between the lines. There have been a lot of hear say of Demi's binges recorded on video, but so far, no video has been produced nor uploaded on to the internet as of yet. Until it does, "Pics of GTFO!!!". About a week ago, she was checked into a sort of rehab for emotional and physical abuse. So everything was really played down a bit, after Demi's altercation with a backup dancer from the tour that she the Jonas Brother's are making thus far, but after Demi lost it, she was immediately sent to rehab. But before today, it was for the emotional and physical abuse issues. But what caused them? According to sources, she still carried the heavy burden of her break up 3 months ago to JB's front man, Joe Jonas, which added to the alleged, drinking and cocaine binges. Also rumored were here heartbreak indulged binges and excesses which led to her being interned. Until any real proof of what happened, all I can say is, Pray for her healing and getting better. Any man/boy, is not worth losing your sanity over, nor your livelyhood. Sure, go out and find someone special, break ups suck, but they are part of life. Live, Love, move on is all I can say. Til then, get better Demi, and God Bless.

As all HP fans know, the HP saga has come to a close, earlier this year. After 10 long years of bringing us fun and an escape of the real world, each time, for 2.5 hours more or less, with every enchanting movie the WB produces. At first, I didn't understand the hype, nor cared for it either, the news were heavily focused in the first installment of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" I just didn't care at the time. So, after seeing most every movie that was in theaters at the time, more than once, I figured.....why not?? What do I have to lose?

The Walking Dead
Story by: Léon DeGrelle |
What can I really say about it, but, WOW!!!! And this was just the beginning from AMC. It's expected that 6 episodes will also follow it's triumphant and even, unexpected showing of 5.3 million viewers, and also making it the most widely viewed cable series in 2010, and AMC's highest rated original series as well. The show has a high promise value that it will stay for a while since there is already a season 2 in the works as well. The story revolves mainly on Rick Grimes, who's a small town sheriff in Georgia. He is shot multiple times, in a freak shooting that leaves him comatose for a while......the actually time is not given, but awakens to find himself in a hospital bed, abandoned and in a disarray after an unknown freak phenomenon that makes the dead come alive again and in desperate need of fresh meat for nourishment. He finds his home to be abandoned, his town is dead and no one in sight. Until he returns to his neighborhood and finds everyone gone, until running into Morgan Jones and his son Duane, who managed to escape the zombie invasion. Though each Rick, nor Morgan give much insight into their pasts, but manage to find common ground on what to do, on for a short amount of time until the go their separate ways. But one thing the Morgan doesn't tell Rick, is that Morgan's wife is a zombie and couldn't find himself to shoot his former love.
Rick believing that his wife and son is still alive, he sets forth to find them in the overrun city of Atlanta Georgia. Despite Ricks calls on Radio, his message is heard, but the small band of survivors are unable to respond, because their radio receiver is busted and cannot respond. Among the survivors, are Shane Walsh, his best friend and his wife and son. And what makes things worse, Shane has already started a romance with Lori (Rick's Wife) and the band of survivors unable to warn Rick that Atlanta is a hotspot for undead activity.

FDA sends in 12 supplements that are bad for you
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
The funny thing about the FDA, the outlaw supplements that, in the right amount were beneficial. One such supplement, was Ephedra. Why was it outlawed? Besides stupidass, Dubya, signing a bill outlawing it back in 2004, and a judge reversing the outcome in 2006......the FDA passes pills and so called medicine, that in most cases, has more severe and adverse side effects than natural remedies, despite their advice to outlawing natural herbal remedies. I mean, what is the FDA? A bunch of doctors that are paid under the table, to recommend highly volatile drugs while securing a position within the same pharmaceutical companies, once they retire from government service within the FDA. Here's a few examples:
Ketek
Trasylol
Heparin
Gadolinium
Tequin
Paxil
Ortho Evra
Vioxx
And not to mention the Phen-Fen craze a few years ago for weight loss......how many cardiac arrests and health problems did that cause. Picking on herbal remedies, that have a lot less adverse effects is plain stupid as they want to control and monopolize what goes into our bodies, if they don't approve of it first. That to me, sounds more like a socialist plan in which they control what is beneficial to us. What a great job they're doing, passing off highly dangerous drugs that give the general public health problems, and more medicines to counteract the other effects. And all, for profit. The FDA, really doesn't give two shits about the general public, and what they need. Wonderful job on obesity there too. Let's congratulate, a bunch of educated idiots, that make us more dependent of medications. In fact, here's an article from consumer reports, on what the FDA see as a threat to their pharmaceutical colleagues, and their profits.
FDA's Dirty Dozen of dangerous natural remedies.

Another loss for justice, as Polanski goes free.
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Not exactly happy with the goddamn Swiss verdict, but what do you expect from a country that allows money laundering schemes, and protects tax evaders with its laws. And it seems now that Switzerland also protect pedophiles evading justice. I can, no, in fact, we as a whole here, are going to scratch the snooty French and money grubbing Swiss, off our places to see in Europe when we travel there. But the only silver lining about Polanski's term of release, he is not to leave France and not travel anywhere, because if he's caught, his ass goes off to jail. I hope he does get caught, and get what that POS deserves.

Yup, it sure seems that way, now with the uber success of Avatar, and also star of a lesser successful Clash of the Titans. But now there's talks of Sam, taking on two sequels to each of the movies that have made him a household name. Avatar is destined to have a sequel, no doubt about that, he's just waiting on JimCameron's order on when to start shooting. As for Clash of the Titans 2....I'm pretty glad they decided to make a sequel, because it was a shame that in the original 1981 movie, there wasn't any, and Ray Harryhousen retired shortly afterword, and yes folks, Ray's still alive and kicking at 90, and is expected to make a San Diego Comic Con appearance, as he always has.
Clash of the Titans 2 starts shooting early next year. And I can't wait to see the enchanting Gema Atterton once again. Yummy.

Congratulations to Spain and to Andrés Iniesta for his single goal and the winning goal against a physically nasty, Netherlands team, playing dirty like the Argentinians normally do. Felicidades al equipo ganador de la Copa Mundial, y que chinguen a su madre los pinches Olandeses de mierda, por jugar como marranos en celo.

2 major setbacks for Mel Gibson
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
First off....he was caught ranting about a certain group of individuals in another racial rant of what was to happen to his former GF, Oksana Grigorieva, whom illegally released the recording to the public, despite her having a restraining order not to release the recording to the general public. Despite the order, it seems that laws, bylaws and orders don't pertain to foreigners, despite living in the US, possibly illegally, only using Mel and their child as an anchor baby, like other individuals, whom I will not mention.....Los que hablan Español en particular, ¿O miénto?....not saying anything myself.
The second blow, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, his talent agency, has dropped him like a sack of rotten fruit. The agency's founder, Ari Emmanuel, wanted a general boycott of Mel after his 2006 drunken tirade at cops and anti-Semetic slurs. His agent, Ed Limato, died last week on the 3rd of this month, since his agent's company merged with Ari's agency to form a conglomerate, Ed was the link that held Mel's place within the company....once he died, Mel was out like last weeks tuna salad.
Personally, his tirades, I don't care about, Mel is still a wonderful Actor, Director, Producer....even if he decides to denigrate Hispanics, I'd still be a fan of his.....his 1st amendment rights will not be taken away, unless he decides to do something really stupid, like murder. To each his own.

Steven Segal poster on Machete
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
This is a first in a long while after being away form the limelight of top Hollywood features like back in the 90's. With Segal's weight fluctuating, he looks pretty good in this poster. Could Machete be Segal's return to the A-list? Perhaps this is the career resurgence ala Mickey Rourke that Steven needs. So who's next.....Jean-Claude Van Damme?

Escape from NY....another remake victim
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Source
Breck Eisner producing......yet another victim of the current Hollywood trend of completely destroying and ruining classics....and Escape From NY, is not free from this catastrophe that big wigs are doing to make a quick buck and cheapening the movie experience. As is turns out....Timothy Olyphant is rumored to be Snake Plissken, a role that was originally played by the uber famous, Kurt Russell, in John Carpenter's real and original idea. And I'm putting the emphasis on original. According to Eisner he quotes:
In other words, this will be another possible, Hollywood clusterfuck. Just putting it in words that we can all easily understand. The main reason for Olyphant? Simple, both Eisner and Olyphant have worked recently in "The Crazies". With that being said....another classic, with the high chances of it going to the crappers.

“Conceptually, it’s an idea that’s not true today because of the world we live in. So, how the prison is created is going to be different than in Carpenter’s version. The anxiety of the world and anxiety of our existence post-9/11 is there, especially the anxiety in Manhattan post-9/11.
Plot-wise, they’re different, emotionally they’re very similar. That’s why it’ll be interesting to tackle this movie, to have a slightly different take but with the same results which is Manhattan is turned into a walled prison.”

Still no director for "The Hobbit"
Story by: Léon DeGrelle
Source
District 9 director, Neill Blomkamp was rumored to be the next director for "The Hobbit", after Guillermo del Toro's departure from the project 3 weeks ago. David Yates, who directed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was also rumored to be the next director for the films......to no avail. Despite Sir Ian McKellen's assurance, that the fill we be on schedule to fans.....I doubt this project will see light of day, since MGM Studios is also in a financial mudhole as we speak
So what's next? Hopefully Peter Jackson himself, will take over full directorial responsibilities as it should, since his Lord of the Rings trilogy, are among the most successful movies in history. Perhaps, it's time for PJ, to step up to the plate, and take a trip back to Middle Earth, the Jackson way.
